Job Description

Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Remote (overlap with Korea and US Pacific time zones)

Employment Type: Full-time (flexible hours)

Reporting to: COO 


Position Overview

We are looking for a strategic, action-oriented finance leader to strengthen forecasting, improve close and reporting, and enable better decision-making as Enuma (a Series B, venture-backed, mission-driven startup) continues to mature and scale thoughtfully.


The ideal candidate owns hands-on operational finance (FP&A, accounting, and reporting) and partners closely with leadership on strategic finance topics as needed. They bring a builder’s mindset, with a strong drive to improve systems and processes, implementing automation and AI-enabled tools where appropriate to increase speed, accuracy, and insight across the finance function.


What You Will Do 

  1. Own budgeting, forecasting, runway planning, audit, tax, and reporting, producing decision-quality models and clear executive narratives. 
  2. Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making across the organization. (e.g., HQ, local subsidiaries, functions, key project), aligning financial goals with business objectives. 
  3. Strengthen core finance operations by implementing practical automation, including AI-enabled workflows, to improve speed, accuracy, and insight (e.g., variance analysis, anomaly detection, reporting)
  4. Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality financial reporting to various stakeholders (i.e., internal, board, investors, auditors)
  5. Support board and investor-facing finance reporting, including materials preparation, and capital-related communications
  6. Partner with the CEO, COO, and Board to define long-term financial strategy and capital allocation priorities, supporting the company’s near- and long-term growth
  7. Support capital strategy and transaction readiness, including financing and potential strategic transactions (e.g., partnerships, M&A), and lead execution when pursued

Job Requirements

  1. 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A and operational finance, with clear ownership of closing, budgeting, runway management, and analysis. (Experience in multi-entity companies preferred; high-growth experience is a plus). 
  2. Demonstrated ability to be hands-on and execution oriented: building financial models, digging into analyses, and improving processes using tools. (Experience with AI-enabled workflows is a plus.) 
  3. Strong working knowledge of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting, with the ability to partner effectively with external accountants and auditors (US GAAP experience and multi-country exposure strongly preferred). 
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Korean, with the ability to work effectively across functions, cultures, and seniority levels. 
  5. Proven experience leading high-performing teams. 
  6. A strong alignment with Enuma’s mission, or a demonstrated interest in education/technology.
